e36 concern

So my cars been parked off for a while so i started it and took it for a small blast , when i came back i noticed that when i press he accelerator the revs drop slightly and then revs up, is that anything to be concerned abt?... i know the o2 sensor is shot , and the maf is old, gna be replacing them within the next 2weeks.

Possible air leak..check the rubber boot behind the MAF....either that or it's the dodgy MAF and O2 sensor.....how do you know the O2 sensor is shot? If you have an air leak i.e. the rubber boot is split it can throw up a fault code for the O2 sensor too......

check the breather pipes...on the e36's breather pipes got soft from heat on that model (have one and had same prob) and gave that prob where the rev drops and comes back up to constant idle...If it is breather pipes it's not a mission to replace and shouldn't cost an arm n a leg. easy to check as well..when cars warm jus feel if the pipes are soft n close if you squeeze them...if you squeeze them shut you should get a similar reaction to whats happening atm.
