This month that is a very likely possibility.....

Philip Foglar said:That's actually very good! Was going to say, with the shorter diff, that's impressive! Do you use your econometer when driving? What I mean is, most of the time I try and keep my econometer south of the 10 l/100 km as much as possible. Obviously on pull-off and crawling speeds this ain't really possible, but on the flip side, slowing and going down a hill is free petrol, so balances out.
Fetched my car from its service yesterday, consumption when dropped off was 10.4 l/100 km. When I collected it, was on 24.5 l/100 km! After some driving around yesterday managed to get it down to 13 l/100 km and she is now on half tank... So not too bad! And I wasn't exactly doing an economy run!
freerider said:And finally.... I can hardly believe it myself (As a comparison, I used to get 11.2 average with the 320i)
Note: consumption 1 indicator gets reset at every fuel up.

On my E30 325 i did get 10L/100KM once!:roflol:

The one day I did 400kms on a tank in my 135i, hell froze over.
freerider said:Which again brings me to my bugbear facebook issue. Everytime fuelly posts an update to facebook showing my latest fuel up and the consumption, one of my friends (who drives a shitbox hyundai gets) always comments that my car is SO heavy on juice and that I must sell and buy something lighter on fuel.
Lets think about this realistically for a second shall we?
My car costs me per month:
Insurance R350 (including excess waiver)
Fuel R1500-R2000pm
And I love driving my car
Her car costs:
Monthly repayment R2300
Fuel R600
Insurance R750 (With a R5k excess :roflol: )
So lets see.... her car is light on juice, but costs more.
