I assume it has its stock chip....and I'm not sure what FRC will do in terms up upgrade.
I dont think the car was retuned after the mods were done to it. I bought it with the manifold and box already installed.
The remap includes a tune doesnt it?

Ok, I'm back after the dyno....

so, just to recap:
137.3hp boosted to 145.4hp
169 Nm torque boosted to 190 Nm

I didnt push the car on the way back, so I cant say that I actually felt a difference.....but all in all, it looks like a nice gain:thumbsup:

You see, that was your first mistake, you should have gone looking for a Tazz or a Tata or something......:mmm:

so what did you do to get the better graph

m50 manifold and exhaust box:thumbsup:

after driving it a little more yesterday, I have to say that there is a difference.
In lower revs I am able to maintain power. the whole car just feels better overal. so its not a dramatic improvement but still quite nice.

Is it just me or does that still seem too low? I may be mistaken though.

I looked up the 328i on wikki:
stock, it made 142KW and 190hp on flywheel.....

thats roughly 133hp on the wheels. I'm doing 145hp on the wheels now which means I am making about 208hp on the flywheel.

considering the relatively simple mods done, and over 300k on the clock, it doesnt seem too low to me.

but i could always be mistaken:)

hey man,

what do you mean exactly by 'messed'? Maybe a recon will cost you less than a replacement that wasnt meant for the car?

Hi Novio , 208 flywheel hp is about 154 kilowatts which is about what the overseas guys expect - normally 190 hp plus 15 to 20 hp . Torque is still low , your acceleration in each gear will be slow due to low torque .
Have a compression test done to check the actual compression per cylinder and any differences between cylinders .

A dyno reading like this is just that, makes nice reading, unless you have a baseline to compare it to.

Ask FRC if they have a dyno graph for a stock 328i in good condition. Compare ur graph with that. A graph in isolation means very little.

Have you done any subsequent mods and dyne runs?

Necro-bump, I know... So shoot me.. :)

Just trying to get a feel for 328i mods and dyno performance at reef altitudes.
