Yeah I guess power steering pump, the wheel is quite heavy to turn...but I don't know :dunno:
Doomsdaya@ Changing the ride height isn't a great idea, I'm struggling as it is over speed humps around here! But there is far too much body roll, pitching and diving, for dynamic driving. So I'd just like a confidence inspiring package. I've got 215/40s in front and 225/40s at the rear. Good/bad? Would 235/45ZR17s all round be better, or are narrows and wides the way to go?
328iM@ Thanks alot dude :thumb:, I'm really loving this car and hope to get it really right as quickly as I can.
Saturnz@ Thank you :thumb:
LPM320@ I hope that's what it is, and not something in the engine like a drivebelt of timing chain or something. If only I knew somebody else with a 328i to reference against. Could be I'm just hearing things...
Just had the car checked now, apparently the previous owner fit E30 ball-joints :dropjaw: How does that happen? Besides the wobble, there was a creaking sound which we all initially thought was coming from either the shock-absorber or the spring, but turns out the ball joint was somehow rubbing against something. The mechanic sprayed 'something' (I'm guessing a lube?) in the area and eventually the creaking/squeaking stopped...
Was also told that my front tyres are shot and were wearing out unevenly and they are the most likely suspect for wobbling. So for now the shopping list is the ball-joints, tyres, and wheel bearings...
