E36 328i convertible advice on buying?

Hi 

I have been a fan of the 328i convertible since I was a kid.

I have found an immaculate condition, original 1998 Automatic with 220000km and full service history at BMW. Price is on the high side at 90k but don't mind paying a little extra for the condition, or am I being crazy?

I will be viewing the vehicle later today.

I need advice on the following:

1. What to look for when buying? Common faults?

2. What preventative maintenance should need to be done if not done already? Rough costs?

3. Is it a good idea for a daily driver? (P.S by daily driving I mean 5km to work and back)

4. Minor service part costs? (Plugs, filters and oil) labour can do it myself.

5. Is the automatic gearbox reliable?

6. Is the 328i convertible a future classic?

#6 - I would say yes, definitely.
I loved the look of this car in either British Racing Green or that metallic purple Individual spec colour.

#3 - Short distance driving, especially in traffic may not be the best environment for any classic car.

These are really strong and reliable cars especially if they looked after. I owned one from 2007-2018 and onlyView attachment 4 had an issue with the radiator, the plastic gets brittle and the radiator needed to be replaced.
Car was serviced 10 000km or yearly which ever came first.

In my view not a daily but more of a weekend car to enjoy.

Service can be done yourself, Service Part are not that expensive.

6. Is the 328i convertible a future classic?
Not sure if it’s a future classic but it’s a beautiful car. especially when the top is down.
