E36 328i Alternator & Belts ???

My car sounds like its got a supercharger but not in a good way, my specialist found out its the alternator bearings thats worn out. So do I replace or get it reconditioned ???

Also as of yesterday, I found its making a squeaking sound, that of a worn belt, so when I eventually get the alternator sorted out, might as well replace all the belts.

Question is how many belts does the E36 328i use ? AFAIK its 3, the fan belt, waterpump belt & perhaps powersteering belt ???

What make & size should I go for ? Continental or Goodyear ?

Thanx in advance....

Good Year probably better and used more. But both are quality makes, my opinion.

if i recall its two belts one for the aircon and one for everything else. worth checking the condition of the idler pulleys at the same time. either belt will give you good service.
