e36 328 window jammed

hi guys i have a problem on my beemer my passenger side window was opened by a friend(ME!) and now it refuses to go up again no matter what i do my dad,s a bmw mechanic but hes going to beat me up
because its probaly my fault

any help would be appreciated

what do you mean it doesn't want to go up?..is it jammed..can you move the actual glass window with your hand..and why were you not suppose to open the window?...could be the mechanism?

what happened was my dad bought the car from the bank as a repo and said he was going to fix it up in the next few months or so and i replaced the window mag on the driver side but now the passenger sides doing this could it just be that because it stood so long maybe it seized or corroded

is the motor working?..when you press the button can you hear the motor?...could be the mechanism also, they do break eventually..maybe ask your dad cos he is a BM mech instead of fidling and causing more harm than good?...

Those window regulators do eventually pack up and it happens when you least expect it. The recent cold we had can be a contributor for the regulator to freeze suddenly.

You can remove the window panel yourself to check if it is indeed an electronic failure or if it is something else.

talked to my dad he says he expected it so we ordered 3 new window mags says he doesnt want to waste his time with old shit he says furthermore
