Some sad news there's been yet another spanner in the water pipe works, this time the connector at the firewall next to the heater hoses(hose marked in green)

having some low end power issues :blueCry: some stuttering, very low rough idle, let's say I'm at a stop street, put it in 1st put the pedal flat to the floor then all I get is nothing nothing nothing and then only at 3-4k it picks up nice, can't break the wheels loose unless you rev the tits off it and dump the clutch and that's nasty, but even then the wheels will break loose for a second or two and then the revs just drop.. what do you guys think? faulty MAF, 02 sensors? the coils were replaced and it has not resolved the issue, could vacuum leaks or even the ICV cause such a loss of low end power?

Just bought a set of bottle caps for the e36 and a arm rest center console, will have to refurb the wheels an reup the arm rest as well as dye it the same colour as the seats

Had the style 13's fitted with some fresh Dunlop sport tyres last weekend, very dissapointed in myself for still not taking her out for a drive on the new wheels.. but that will change tonight, anyway I'll leave this picture here

Wow I love what you're doing man. Nothing exciting like a restoration job
I'm no technician ok, but here's my 2c to consider:
The problem could lie anywhere along those things you've cited. A diagnostics would be helpful I'd say
But I doubt your MAF sensor's at fault cos it would disrupt the fuel trim and possibly bring up EML light. However, the MAF sometimes plays up and no light comes on. Spray it with MAF cleaner and see
The ICV - take it out and spray it with an electrical cleaner spray
I'd also take out the throttle body and also give it a good clean out.
What about the throttle position sensor? They all work together so check those three
Vacuum leaks would likely bring on "check engine" light , but not always. I'd replace all vacuum hoses tbh- they're old and frayed by now given age and lack of use
But maybe needs a good run at crusing speed for an hour or so

Will be interesting to know what the problem is:eek:mgwaiting:

The MAF is totally broken :roflol: I'll have to remember to post a picture of it, The TPS and crank+cam sensors all check out, vacuum lines are good, throttle body itself has a very slight leak at the rubber o-ring but not bad enough to cause such power loss, I have tried an aftermarket MAF and it cuts the fuel on hard acceleration so I'm trying to find a good oem one, or go for a unit such as the powermods management system (as recommended by Nikhil and backed up by Buddler motorsports) this way I can extract some more power and eliminate the MAF issue all together, the power is there it just does not accelerate very quickly
