E36 325 VANOS or NON VANOS?

Hi guys,

Just a quick question, I got a 1994 BMW 325i (M) Convertible E36, I would like to know whether its VANOS or not, I know its a M50 (confirmed on realoem.com), but not sure if VANOS. VIN number OEA10732.

I'd like to know as I am selling and alot of guys have been asking me this. This being my 3rd 325i and not knowing, kinda feeling quite dumb now.:cursin:

I believe it is non-VANOS, but I could be wrong.

Just confirmed it has VANOS.

Hi most M50 from 1993 were vanos , if you look at your tappet cover at the front of the engine it will be straight at the front if non vanos and will have the vanos unit on the inlet side if vanos .

If whoever asks you this has actually seen the car then they are the ones who are dumb since as posted previously the vanos unit actually sits infront by the inlet cam.
