Hi
Need some help.
I recently regassed my aircon,no leaks we're detected.
However when I put the aircon on and both sides are set on low(16 degrees) aswell as the centre consol on cold the upper vent on the passanger side(the 1 used 2 demist the passanger wimdow) KEEPS BLOWING HOT air.

I took the entire dash appart and found that the cable going from the centre consol 2 a flap was loose,I reconnected it and checked if it was working before I put it back 2gether.

2 my suprise ended up with the same result,I even cleaned the microfilter.

Its weird seeing your passenger sweating his ass off while you as cool as ice.... lol
Can some 1 pleases help.

Have a look at this thread... It relates to the E46 but may be of some help

Thanx 4 the thread.think the best thing would b 2 take it 2 a reputable place 2 hav it checked out for leaks and 4get the DIY.

However it is a bit weird, caus only 1 vent is blowing hot air all the other vents ar cold.

Anyway summer only lasts a few hours a day in Cape Town anyway, and If you roll ur window down the South Easter will blow you 4rm the drivers side of your car 2 the passanger side of the car next 2 you.

Its a stuck open heater valve, crud builds up inside over time and eventually gets stuck open. Remove the unit, strip it down and clean it up, will work like new again afterwards.

Its a common e36 issue when you use tap water instead of coolant...

I guys,

So I eventually removed the heater valve, while taking the cover off 2 clean the inside I stripped the copper wire :bangdesk:

And the valve was stuck tried repairing the wire but no luck.

Looks like I'm gonna need 2 get a new heater valve.
