E36 210mm LSD diff

I have a 3.2l LSD and want to fit it on my motorsport. I've heard that it won't fit, so I want to know how I can have it fitted with minor modifications?

there are few companies in the States that make conversion kits to fit the large case. the other option is to transplant the rear subframe and associated suspension components into your car.

If it's 318is then you have a small case diff. I have the complete rear subframe/suspension coming off my 328i making way for m3 stuff. That will give you medium case diff where you have ratio and LS diff options. I will be interested in part exchange on that 210mm diff as it's too large for a 318is motor. I can use those 3.23:1 gears.

So am I understanding this right. Is it possible to swop the LS components of a large case over to the medium case?

No. You will swap in a LS unit from a medium case diff (3.0lt M3 or E34 or E30 LS diff)
