E34 Clear indicators?

Hi all, I am considering replacing the original amber indicator lenses with clears - wanting to change front,side and rears.

I am assuming the stealers prices would be ridiculous???

Is the only option going with the aftermaket(Autostyle etc) ones, what is the quality like on these if anyone has used them?

Would the guys like Bemows etc keep these.If anyone knows where I can find the indicators, please let me know?

Your going to battle to find clears at a yard like bemows.. unless you are insanely lucky.

I actually bought an autostyle set this weekend for R295. The quality is not fantastic, but they are not bad, and they seem to fit.

ZL, R295 was this for the fronts? Did they have the sides and rears? prices if you checked?

Well...

Ya, 295 was for the sides.

They had a set of the original look alike rears still with the orange indicator for R400 per side, so I assume they will have the clears as well, did not see and needed to go.

The side clears are about R250 or so.

THey do have a complete set of headlights as well for 2k (the entire mounting assembly including the two lights), which includes angel eyes. I am really contemplating if I should go for this one, I am really wondering if I am going to spoil the classic look for the E34 with Angel eyes, but I have to do something.. All of my headlights are cracked/repaired with silicone...

So here is a question to all, yes/no... Do E34's need angel eyes ?

No, Angel eyes look lame on an E34. Buy Mr Lens covers from Autostyle and fit a set of Xenons.

What does look nice on a white E34 is the slightly (Not dark) smoked lens look with black kidney grilles.

Seconded, angel eyes are a no-no. BMW only added them to the E39 to retain the classic twin-headlamp visage of BMWs past.

Dont think the angel eyes work on the E34.

I have the Mr Lens covers on my driving lights and they are starting to melt, so not sure how good they are? I will also be looking to change the driving lights, can this be done or do you need to change the entire unit including the brights and the mounting bracket?

Are the smoked lens available at Autostyle as well?

I'd stay away from these autostyle lights they'll just make your car look tacky.
In terms of headlights rather save up or a set of OEM projector lights then fit a HID kit, as it looks awesome.
For the tail lights stay away from any of these crystal look lights they look horrible on the older beemers, saw a poor e30 the other day with autostyle tail lights uke:

some assistance.........
1.Big boys toys(012-3410949) gave me a Price of R250 for the marker lamps on a e46(clear), after market parts.
2. CR auto dealers (012-3274679) gave me a price of +- R171.00 each for the same marker lights, bmw original replacements
3. Bmw Club motors berea (012-322 8546-Humbu) gave me a price of R1400-00 for a kit for the sides and front clear indicator light.

Those autostyle ones are the BIGGEST K@K you could ever get.
You can even ask uber, as he has seen my ex white e34 M5 that I got with those lights. – It was leaking water, had no luminous penetration and looked plain sh!t. Was a major put off to all when I tried to sell the car.
