That's a bit high for a car with a broken CC. If it's just a matter of getting it re-gassed, then get it re-gassed.

For that price, you'll probably get a very neglected E39 523i or similar ...

Well I would take a decent e34 540i at this price over a neglected e39 523i any day, well for one thing do you really want a e39 in anything other than the 530 i or d or 540i?

I might be a little unpopular, but I think R35k for a clean, straight E34 with history, is the right price.
