I agree the price is a bit on the high side, bodering on e39 prices, but these clean e34's are becoming harder and harder to find. Hence the price premium?

That's a bit high for a car with a broken CC. If it's just a matter of getting it re-gassed, then get it re-gassed.

Well I would take a decent e34 540i at this price over a neglected e39 523i any day, well for one thing do you really want a e39 in anything other than the 530 i or d or 540i?
