E34 525i auto (M20B25) fuel consumption?

Hi guys! I urgently need some advice please, I'm looking at a 1989 525i auto with very low mileage (117 000km) which I'm planning to buy this afternoon. It's got the old M20B25 engine. I would just like to know what sort of fuel consumption can I expect around town and on the open road?

I know most of you will probably say get a manual but this one is in a pretty good shape and I haven't seen one in this condition with that mileage for some time now.

Any info will be much appreciated! :=):

Around town you can expect 6-7km/L and on the highway 9 at best.

They are unfortunately extremely lazy, so you have to drive the nuts off it to get anywhere.

Thanks guys! I decided not to buy the car due to the heavy fuel consumption, it's going to be a killer as I was planning to use it as a daily drive. I'm VERY sad though, such a pretty car.
