225/45/16 inch my bad.

So since the midnight run I've earned some new found love and respect for the little beast. Mostly going to focus on cosmetic enhancing at first until I have all the engine data I need to make an informative decision on what to do next.

I know this so far. The original 302 block was bored and new forged probe pistons fitted. Walter dart 2 cylinder heads.

Edelbrock intake manifold with racing holley 750cfm carb plus nitrous plate and solenoid.

The branches and exhaust are questionable. They are a make shift fit and according to sabie will have to be changed. The passenger side engine mount is torn and I'll have that attended to before any engine mods.

The custom sump is also not a neat jobbie as it's leaking just enough to make a mess.

Not too sure yet. Nitro performance sends their cars to Viper and TNT. But have heard and read mixed things from both of them. Same with the suspension. I want to have it redone as it's sitting way too low. Stock shocks for R1400 but want to get a setup that gives more clearance and better cornering. Will stop by Koni and see what we can arrange.

I am keeping it for now for sure! It's parked at the GF's place for the time being. Under a proper car cover. It makes for a fun weekend warrior I must admit :rollsmile:

Ok so bit of a double post on the E30 Suspension thread, but I'm going to have a lot looked at the car tomorrow. Suspension being the main event. We're probably going to fit stock shocks and springs and then have a look at the brakes control arms, tie rods and steering rack as well.

Hopefully the engine mount can get sorted too. These custom jobbies are giving us headaches!!!

And then finally after all this the exhaust will get done. This 325 back box is just disastrous noise wise.

Another interesting thing though. It has 225/45/16's on which are very scarce indeed. So unless anyone knows of someone that stocks similar or wider 16 inch tyres I'll have to get some semi slicks or other wheels :bangdesk:

check on the E30 forum theres a guy selling a VERY nice one, might be the same. mohammed A. but whatever you do stay away from autostyle, the stuff is crap and dont fit

Ok so some progress on the car. It's been neglected with the 540 and Audi taking all the shine...

The side mirror I managed to get from bemows for R75.

Replaced lower control arm bushes (with brackets) and it feels more sturdy already. Suspension to follow sometime.

I Also have a plan on fixing the cracks in the dash. Still experimenting but will see how it will turn out and post.

The car is getting a new engine mount made for it. Also the Diff mount is getting rebuilt. Crossmember removed and welding 2 proper plates to support it.

Then at the same time hopefully before the 24th a new exhaust will be fitted.

In fact the middle box developed a leak in this last couple of days driving it about. So it's got to go.
