So, really and honestly...

is this car a bmw or a ford?

In my opinion, its a ford!

Take nothing away... its a decent mod.

@ samman325 If you ask me It's a BMW. I honestly don't really care, just love the car as it is. If you have a heart transplant from a Chinese guy does that make you Chinese?

@Wykid I would think if the webers are properly tuned that they would out run the holley, however from the limited searching I've done it seems the holley pulls strong at 7000rpm+ and yes financially it wouldn't really make sense going that route for the gains (if any). 2600u$ upwards  I'd rather just put some N20 since the internals are made for it.

The weber IDA is a good carb for small applications , I would stick with the holley for performance and economy . The webers are not popular and jet sizes and settings are likely to keep you busy . I enjoyed the dcoe on the twin cam Alfa Romeos years ago .

Yes thats what I reckon. The car is fine for all the purposes I use it for. Just have to source the oil leak and then I'll be quite content with her just the way she is. Spacers and all  even though it's a temp fix but she drives surprisingly well. Just the way I want her
