does any know how to wire up the rev counter on the e30 ?
after searching the net i have found out that there is a black wire on the blue plug at the back of the cluster that is the signal wire , but my issues are that my car didnt come with a rev counter as it was a 316 carb model and it had a huge clock in place , so i swapped that out with a rev counter from a later model but still doesnt get any signal
I have used my original board just swapped the rev counter , both the boards are the same from what i can see
The wire from the dicktator works as i have tried a 2" autogauge rev counter , but cannot seem to get this to work , i have also tried another cluster and still no joy , even looked at another e30 with dicktator and it is indeed using the same black wire for rpm signal
is there a way to connect it direct ?
