I have worked with FG since I was 13. Also worked at a company specializing in design and manufacture of composite components for military and industrial applications. I can tell you: it will be a biaatch to make the whole dash from CF and looking good (since it will have to be a single mat and you might very well not be able to achieve that without weaving the CF into the correct shape). FG + leather seems like a winning recipe here.

I've heard that the leather can shrink and cause the dash to pull away from the car's frame? I guess it depends on what leather you use?

P1000 i have noticed that the fabric does not cooperate all the time i am currently testing a method where i sure a + and - to sandwich the fabric seems to be going ok... but lots of experimentation still needs to be done...

i agree.its just the main "shell" yu need to build and the rest that isnt really seen will be attached.
