e30 325i with 325is flow meter

Hi guys, i have a e30 325i and want to fit a 325is flow meter. well some one told me you get 3 different flow meters on the 325is. one of them is the same as the one on the 535i not sure if its true , well if i want to fit it they say you must get the is intake pipe because the flow meter side of the pipe is bigger.

do any of you guys have experience in a case like this ?

IIRC one of the 2.7 iS had a similar AFM to the 535i , do not know if part numbers are the same .

Yes thats the one i have , now i need a intake pipe of a 325is but there is 3 different at the agents and dont know witch one, they dont have sizes cuz they have to order from the factory or some shit....

what to do now, aai

not too sure bout all the IS's but the evo2 has Alpina stamped inside the AFM so you need to open up the plastic covering to make sure. otherwise make sure the IS has the same throttle body otherwise the new pipe is going to be too big for the stock 325i throttle body. not sure how much difference this is going to make though, when comparing to cost.

when they use the 535i AFM they use the 325i pc board so that the ecu can communicate properly with the AFM, not sure if this applies to you. its a bit tricky as these boards are sensitive.

Dude, my 325is has a 535i AFM, I also had a spare 325i AFM lying around, I compared them. The 535i one is mahoosive! Barely fits the elbow, needs some lank elbow grease to get on.

if i google that number on the cover I get 323 or 320 afm as a result. maybe try the number below the 8404. there should be a serial.

OK.OK.OK my bad, sorry Psymon69 that is a 320 flow meter , i found the 535 one but the number is till not right if i check on that one site you mentioned. gona google it now, but you can see the difference in size , let me know what you think.
