E30 318i Suspension Swap

Hi there

I just bought a E30 318i 1990. The car has a 60/40mm drop. It's a bit too low for some speed bumps in our area. I'm looking to lift it to 40/20mm but I want to swap coz I don't have cash right now to buy a new set. Any advice would be appreciated.

I bought the car with the lowering kit but thanks for the advice. Maybe I can pick up a decent 2nd hand original kit at a scrap yard just for the time being.

I found the 40mm springs on gumtree but the guy said he had it on a honda ballade. Will it fit the E30?

I also saw original E36 springs on gumtree not too long ago.

Heres the link to e30 springs. You'll need to find out if it was in a 6 cylinder or 4 cylinder e30. Or maybe thats what you want? Cos a 4 cylinder with a 6 cylinder 40mm lowering kit will only lower the car by about 20 to 30mm. Koenic in an e30 is shit though.
