I think the second one is just a breather pipe iirc.

Edit: On second thoughts I think I may be wrong. I'll have a look at mine and see

Breather pipe yes. Does the car sound like it needs juice or lacking power to start?

Check fuel and battery first then spark wires, then we’ll take it from there

Thanks for the replies.

Does the car sound like it needs juice or lacking power to start? Yes it does sound like it.

at first when i started the car the revs just went up and i had to switch of the car. now it just tries to start without taking. fuel is good and the plugs also look good. will replace them and see if theres a difference.

Just to be clear, the loose pipe does not go in anywhere ?

Hi, the breather pipe goes nowhere. If it’s the spark plugs the car will still start but misfire, check the spark wires and coil then timing...airflow meter.

Another common issue is the timing sensor, crank sensor

It could be the Idle control Valve as well. I had similar issues with my one as well. Got another one and it started up on the turn.

Hi Team,

When i got home friday i tried starting the car again and it started straight away. I cleaned the ICV the Thursday so not sure if it did the trick.

Thanks for all the info.

Hi team,

The starting has been fixed but now its another problem again.
:dunnoanymore:

Now the car is struggling to go into reverse, 1st and third gear.
it keeps on popping out. after several force attempts it will go into gear.
it cant be the slave or master cylinder coz the clutch pedal is still hard.
So it could be that i need a new clutch kit.

Thanks in advance

Howzit,

Does it go into all the other gear with no issues? If so then it could be the bearing for Reverse and 1st Gear or the Linkages. Have a mechanic check it our for you.

Sharp.
