Uber Soldat said:Some more pics of the decrepit 6er for BimmerMan. Its sitting at a friends house, the guy who is going to help me re-spray it. The previous owner did not take care of this one at all. It irritates me when the little things aren't put back correctly. Still, i am extremely happy to finally own one.

The spoiler is just propped on the boot lid and boot lid + passenger door are open.
The spoiler finishes off the rear end nicely, in my opinion.

It seems that the chrome arch trim is pop riveted to the arches. Will still be taking it off though.

As you can see here, the paint is dull all over. Bad prep work (laziness)

Here you can see the reason i get irritated. Notice the random bits of trim that haven't been put back or are missing.

The gear lock has to go. Yuck!

Very, very dirty.

Again, here you can see the half ass attempt at fixing stuff. Notice the white stuff on the intake boot. A new one is so cheap, i can't understand why people do this.
I also wonder if that bottle is the correct one. Notice the wire running to the starter motor for the "push button" inside. Bonnet shocks are shot as well. The bottle for the washer nozzles is sitting in the boot.

Lastly, it seems that whoever re-sprayed the car didn't match the paint correctly. Notice the paint in the engine bay compared to the part just below the windscreen.
Anyways, as said earlier, i am extremely happy to have found this car. Will take as many pictures as i can during the "restoration" and will try keep this thread updated as soon as work starts on the car.
