Some more progress!

Bribed Gizmo to come over this past Saturday to help with diagnosing some problems.

He helped us find that the previous owner (idiot) had put the plug meant for the air auxiliary valve onto the injector for cylinder 3. So there was 12 volts going to the injector which meant it would be squirting fuel constantly. We swapped the connectors, now cylinder 3 is firing. :) :)

We also had to change the oil for a second time due to petrol getting into it, which inturn meant i had low oil pressure.

Now i can drive the car around...and it actually has a fair amount of power. :excited:

Onto some pictures...

How much petrol was in the new oil? Makes sense why the oil pressure light would flicker at idle, has the crap from the exhaust reduced since the oil flush?

PS, I hope the bribe is a certain set of wheels....

I had to post the driving pic...Don wouldn't beleive me if i didn't

@Hellas, Thats driving uphill. :slap: :)

@Gizmo, There was a fair amount of fuel in that oil. You could smell it as soon as we drained it out. Found that the chain etc seemed to quiten down as soon as we had proper oil in it.
The crap from the exhaust is near non-existent now. Still smokes a little when warmed up and when you give it some juice. No more of that creamy shit either.

About the wheels...:mmm: :)

What is the red car in the background? Kinda looks like Corvette?

Anyway... I know about the white 635CSI in Riebeeck West. I've never had a chance to look at it closely though, but it seemed to be in good conditions for anyone who might be interested. I was thinking of getting me a 6'er like this, but my mom gave so much flak about it. So I stuck with the E30.

Now at this point... I think some motivational pics are in order

Who knows if the 635 is still available in Riebeeck Kasteel. (BMW WP)??

If so, screw the 2000CS and the engine recon on the 318.

My wife can have the GTI.

I have to go to malmesbury tomorrow, and just decided to make a detour through Riebeeck kasteel to look for the 635.

Jeesh, you guys keep on popping these ideas in my head. Shame on you:)
