Interested to know the opinions of the classic enthusiasts if I should keep or sell this vehicle.

Some interesting facts and the production numbers:

The E21, often referred to as the ‘baby shark’, is no doubt a timeless classic. Produced from 1975 to 1983, it marked the introduction of BMW’s 3 Series. It was originally only offered as a closed car until BMW AG entered into a collaboration with the body factory BAUR to produce a cabriolet, with only 4595 units manufactured worldwide. Of that small batch, only 1659 of the 6-cylinder model 323I were produced, and of that, only 499 BMW 323i right hand drives were built, of which only 324 with manual and 175 with automatic gearboxes. Only 85 of them were imported into South Africa - 323i being top of the range. Mine being one of these.

Its key features: iconic design, rare & unique, convertible versatility, collectible, investment potential.

Let me know your thoughts.

If you can't use the cash that you would get for a stellar investment opportunity or something, keep this rather, as it's only going up and it's a great lifestyle asset.
I assume this is insured for the replacement value else then it's not really a lifestyle asset as I'd never drive it then and would rather sell it as this car should command a great price.

If you're using it and don't need the dosh, keep. if you could use the cash elsewhere or if it's just sitting rather flog it. Call up our resident clowns monte carlo. On a real note - what are these even worth?

I would guess a figure of between 350 and 400 given this particular car's state.
