Not sure if anyone is looking for E12 spares?
My mate has a 535i Motorsport - German Spec which he is stripping for spares unless someone wants to restore this LHD to like new? It is Ascot (gunmetal) grey - its original colour.
The body is in pretty good nick - had a slight altercation with a taxi in front which dented the bonnet a bit and the left front grills. Has a 2 small spots of rust under the bonnet and around the tail lights. Underneath looks solid.
LHD with power steering
Full black interior in really good condition including front Scheel seats in Black (I've only ever seen them in dark blue). Back seats in black velour look like new (could do with a clean).
Door panels are like new, just the wood isn't perfect - although I have a contact who can reveener the wood to better than new.
3.07 Side loader LSD
Original BMW black rubber boot spoiler.
265 Getrag Dog-leg box with removable bellhousing - just spent over R3k on it for new seals and 2 bearings - like new with warranty.
Bilsteins are missing though - seems they were changed at some stage.
Engine also missing - not ideal, but this one had the expensive 93.4mm bore like the M88, so pistons are over R3k a pop, agents only.
Might make a nice 5 series race car given it is LHD.
There is also a rather rare find - a brand new E12 BMW body (in Ruby Red) from BMW SA - got a small scratch /dent in the left rear fender during production and was never used. No rust and like new.
He also has some like new biscuit colour cloth seats from a rolled E12/8 - 520i which had 80k km at the time of the accident.
