NO temperatures....no air pressure...no power loss of drive train (gearbox....)

Is this kind of graph normal here?

why does this sound so familiar??? :roflol:

Can you please explain that to me? :sorry:

I am new in this forum....
There was a tuner who was an advertiser on the forum who was also from Germany afaik. And was very pedantic about dyno graphs. Which in my opinion is a good thing.

Ok, thanks for the information!

I am NOT a tuner....:=):

But.....

I am also from Germany....:biglol:

Sorry to say but from a technical point of view this dyno run gives only curves and no figures for power or torque output...these are influenced a lot by temperature, air pressure....and therefore correction factors are used to equalise and make this figures comparible...thats all....

P.S.: By changing the correction figure a bit you get easy 30 or 50 kW more on the dyno...

Let me add my 2DM.

This specific dyno is a locally developed dyno. When it was first created the software was set for a fixed roller weight. As time went past the correction factor you see on it is actually used to calibrate the dyno. This is because a lot of places use rollers that are sourced from different places etc. It has the option to add in barometric pressure and temperature which makes slight changes to the output. Over time dyno operators from tuning shops abused this system. Certain dynos in the country became the norm for power figures and there is no adjustment made what so ever. So if you go in on a hot day it will show less than a cold day so in theory what you get is a figure for power on the day regardless of conditions. So theoretically its uncorrected.

On the same note observing dynos from counter parts in Europe on MAHA ISO dynos there is a lot of abuse when it comes to coast down method for measuring power at the flywheel. I have done a study with some tuners and you see the same model car showing as much as 100hp difference in drag.

All in all dynos are for power over standard so in general the community knows what a standard car pushes on that dyno and measures his gains to see improvement. In my testing our dynos show less whp than the US dynos but it is what it is.

He was pedantic because he wanted his customers to avoid the dynos calling Bull$hit because he had a fear he could not delivery the goods. End of the day proof is in the pudding and when your FBO N54s battle to make 240wkw after you have collected a large sum you would not want your customers to go to dynos let alone dyno days.

Hey Guys....dont get me wrong...I was only confused that no figures were given on the dyno like it should be....

And I am quite well aware of the tuning war ongoing all over the world...:biglol:

this dyno is what we all use as the standard and its power figures are very accurate
u will notice that most dyno sheets on the forum are done at KAR
