Strange how some cars make huge amounts of wkw but torque varies so much between tunes. This might sound stupid but an observation of the hp thread almost makes me wonder if the 135's have more torque because of a shorter drive shaft? Hoosain do you have a g4 or g5 perhaps the reason? Sorry not a Mechanical guru just curious.

:flyfun:

The torque is simply a function of boost. In most cases on the N54 the peak figure is unusable. You will only see those rpm in first and the car does not build enough boost too see it.
The secret is to maintain the peak power for as long as possible. In this case 280wkw for 800rpm. That makes a fast car and its in the racing rev range.
Cranking the boost early just creates heat for nothing and affects the higher rpm range. Since I shaved 100nm of my car it has been far happier. It might not be a feel good situation to see torque in 500's but the peak power is what matters more when you driving.

Thx. It does die off higher up.
I will be installing the cooler, meth and a the race flash like Hoosain. Which may help a bit. Thoroughly enjoy the car tho.

NO temperatures....no air pressure...no power loss of drive train (gearbox....)

Is this kind of graph normal here?

If his figures were vastly lower or higher than the norm for his mods then the above would be useful. He seems to be pretty much on the money.

There was a tuner who was an advertiser on the forum who was also from Germany afaik. And was very pedantic about dyno graphs. Which in my opinion is a good thing.
