I had the privilege to drive a 2012 F30 320d to mpumalanga and back this week and noted the following :
Chassis
If the E90 was as supple as you most often remembered girlfriend that your wife does not hear about then the chassis in the F30 is her gymnast , nymphomaniac twin sister . The feedback is phenomenal and encourages one to greater and greater deeds of courage and folly .

Power and drivability
The torque of this engine is surprisingly well matched to its power output which when matched to the 8 speed gearbox makes down gearing in any gear a breeze . On a private road on the N1 in the free state I managed 230 up a hill in 7th while sneering at the driver of a Mercedes who promptly choked on his cravat whilst adjusting his monocle and stared in disbelief at the diesel.
At no stage was the car unstable or flighty at no stage did one feel not in complete control . This in my opinion is the mark of a great car it lets an idiot drive much better than he should just by means of electronic trickery and wizardry .

Overall
One of the most enjoyable cars I have driven in along while even though I almost lost it into the wall on the hex river pass .lol . The fact is it was that much fun that I drove it too the limit all time and have pestered my sister to trade her C200 CGI for one .
Those of you who have one ..... Well done guys and for the rest of us lets buy, beg or steal one
