DOOR PULLS DISINTEGRATING

My door pulls or door closers on the inside on both my E90 and X1 have started losing pieces out of them and becoming very sticky. Both cars are cleaned regularly does anyone know how to fix / patch these up. I was at a dealer today and checked older cars in for service and at least one third had this same problem

Here you go bud:thumbs:, on the x1 (if its the E84 shape) you just have to replace the outer handle trim piece ...inner should be plastic?

I had the same problem on my 3 e90 and f34 , so imported a replacement set and now good as new , install took a bit of time but really happy with result , actually looks more durable than sticky rubber one

They disintegrate from body oils, lotion, food, silicone and then bake in the heat.

essentially, once they start getting sticky, youre in a losing battle where its pointless repairing, just replace with parts suggested above.

I had mine redone by a guy. He did a great job and all is well and oem looking. Cost was R750 for all three! Pm should you require contact details.

Before / After

The panelbeaters took my 5/10 sticky door panels to 0/10 when they removed the door panels.

Used a guy "Leymen - 067 288 9985" he charges R250 per handle and comes to you. He travels all over SA
