Does BMW Need a Supercar?

Why did BMW stop their relations with Williams on the F1 scene? There would have been a great start for the BMW supercar/hypercar.

Williams wasnt cutting it at the time, and a blame game started. Williams blamed the engine, and BMW blamed the team for not being competitive enough.

BMW then partnered with Sauber, and planned to start their own works team, then the financial crisis came along and almost killed motorsport entirely.
