I think @"Gizmo" explained just fine what happened and IMHO to open up about something like is a big thing the first time. With the exception of his outburst to @"Peter@AEW" that started this whole thing, he has been the more mature person here.

What I find interesting, is that most of you forget that others on this forum has been called out for the same mistake (swopping parts) and only because in that case it was just a he says vs she says, it was seen as ok.

I will be the minority and say, I think he deserves a chance for the mistake, but I would like to see him grow and also avoid outbursts even on whatsapp or in person in both typing and verbal forms. Its definitely one of Gizmo's weaknesses that he can improve on. I am sure he already figured out that was a bad move.

Hey bud, can I borrow you car for three weeks? Don't worry if parts go missing, they'll just be at my house ready to be fitted back whenever you are ready.

Gizmo let me give some good advise.

You stole, made a mistake, apologized, learnt your lesson. Ok

But you do not realize that you committed a crime, many crimes and cases of theft could have been opened against you.
You even admitted to being guilty.

I have not read the parts whether you have made the wrongs right with all parties involved.

I think you should not try pointing fingers at Peter and the likes.....he who stays in a glass house should not throw stones.

Additionally on a car forum, a mechanic that stole parts from customers cars etc etc will not do down well with anyone.

I suggest you decide on your own to exit the forum and never return, and off the forum pay back money, return parts, do whatever is needed to make your wrongs right.

So in short, steal a few things, get caught, confess that theft was a mistake and then move on...

Sjoe imagine if this was a government official that did this all hell would break loose and everyone will be up in arms besides those that have benefitted...

Just remember to admit fault and open up about what you did and everyone will live happily ever after.... :dunnoanymore:

He can get how many ever chances he wants on the forum, but I highly doubt anyone who still has their head screwed on correctly would trust him with their car. I would personally not even drive past his place of business ,let alone leave my car there.

Good morning gents, just for full transparency I would like to clarify the timeline on the incidents.
The repairs done to Moosa's M3 was in March 2013 as he made a rave thread about me repairing a couple of things: https://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=43028
The 318is oxygen sensor was in Feb 2014 as Moosa had made a thread about that too: https://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=54067
Make of it what you will.

Leaving the forum in 2017 gave me clarity to recognize my potential and I have flourished in the last 3years, I have shifted from being purely customer supported to buying-restoring-selling E46s for myself. I was even planning a youtube build series to test the waters but perhaps returning to the forum 3 months ago was a mistake knowing I would be returning to SJWs, forum trolls and those who had blackmailed me years ago. In order to move forward you have to face your past, I have done that, I have made wrong decisions for the right reasons and didn't stop to think of the consequences. I am just a human being after all, I am prone to mistakes and errors in judgement like alot of you are displaying now.
However I will not let my mistakes define me, I take them as life lessons and move on a wiser man. You only have to be blackmailed once to learn how to never get yourself in that position again. Trust has been lost but it will be regained, this will only spur me on to work even harder and dial every build to 11 to prove what Im really capable of when Im not under someone's thumb or being held back by my past.

In closing, I would like to thank Kevalen, Charles, Yuben and whoever else vouched for my return to the forum, had I alerted you to the skeleton in my closet we wouldn't be in this fiasco we are now. I just want to thank you for believing in me and affording me the opportunity to give the forum one last go, I won't forget it. To all those fanatics who have stood by me through this and for the overwhelming whatsapp support I sincerely appreciate it and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I will continue to do what I love and no-one can ever try steal my passion again!

Thank you all
Warren
@"Gizmo"
Please stop grasping at straws bud, since your memory seems to be fading, my rave thread written on 24/03/2013 was in relation to my E36 328i and not the E46 M3.
This was also prior to me finding out about your thieving ways which was only brought to my attention on 19 February 2015.
The thread of the O2 sensor on the 318is was also prior to me knowing better as it’s dated 8 Feb 2014 so kindly find a new list of excuses and resubmit.

Thinking out loud; I wonder how forum sponsors would feel if they knew about the criminal activity being endorsed on this platform?

Surely having your brand and business associated with this would cause huge reputational risk and can also cause damage to your business and brand?

I wouldn't want any member to even think about doing this, but imagine people start anonymously contacting vendors on this page: https://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=21941 and asking them for comment?

Reading this clearly shows no remorse,  and that once again, you really haven’t changed.

it is pretty much the same you said to me before, and when I was asked by the powers that be, also vouched for your return. I was wrong.
