So guys last weekend my alternator broke, got a new one today but my mechanic couldnt come put it in for me and will only be doing it on monday for me ...

So firstly my car is parked at my house and all the parts were removed to remove the alternator.

Option1: put car back together with new alternator myself? Do you think i will brake anything?

Option2: Do as many DIYs as i can while parts are removed???? If i choose this option what would you guys suggest.. last night my dad and I did the ofhg last night so feel quite good about that and tonight i cleaned all the excess oil and dirt.

Option3: do all DIYs i can and then put the car back together [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

Ps: please can DIYs be budget friendly as i have had thee most expensive month of my life[PENSIVE FACE]

If you've done the OFHG, I don't see the alternator replacement being much more difficult.

Assuming the serpentine belts are off, it would be a good time to spin the pulleys and see which have too much play, noise or any signs of failure. Since airbox is off, might as well inspect the DISA unit if you haven't already done that. If possible, check for any cracks in the CCV pipes and hoses.
