well my car is going in on monday, still cant hear the noise on the diff, but then again,it could be tyres or bearings.

my lifters are also noisey,so will get them to check that out as well, and want them to check the prop shaft as im not happy with zambisies work

also the noise on the front suspension is still there,so must also check that out

great stuff...
Good thing about noisy hydrolic lifters is that as long they are noisy, you know your car will still run!
Once they get quiet again THEN its time to be VERY carefull as the will seize soon and then damage valve drive and pistons!

May sound funny or crazy but thats the way it is :=):

Its because they change the oil every 25 000km and there is alot of sludge buildup. I change my oil every 13 000km to 15 000km. Its much better for the engine. Gearbox and diff oil ill recomend every 60 000km

well got my car back this evening, and a big thank you to bmw club fountians.

replaced the diff and checked the car top to bottom, found a bearing on the front wheel that was shot.
also the car feels ten milloion times better than before it went in(never felt like this at zambisie)
was thinking of replacing it,but after the drive home, wont be.
will rather extend the motorplan

That's very good to hear! So no noise from the shot bearing though? When I still test drove my car two years ago we were convinced that the left front wheel bearing was stuffed, turned out to be, you guessed it, the noisy Conti RFT's.

Enjoy your car!!

philip, gave them a list of thing to check, from bearings to bushes etc.they had the car for three days, and they picked up that the diff was noisey, which has been replaced

the noise i was hearing on the front suspension seems to have been the bearing, they removed every cover and greased and checked everything.

when i drove the car this afternoon,it felt brand new(like a f30),also seems like bmw zambisie dont know how to set up a new clutch properly,as i battled to get it into first, even after the new clutch was fitted, now it just glides in,no problem.

also the sensors that were loose and rattling(windscreen/miiror)have been sorted out, where as zambisie said it couldnt, also zambisie said that there was nothing wrong with the air con,it was still noisey, well it was regased and now its quite.

was actually thinking of selling this car,but after the ride home, have changed my mind.

Just goes to show, these are good cars, but sadly often only as good as the quality of the service agent that one goes to! Really glad that you got her sorted out now! Sounds like she is going the way she should now!

Annoying that one has to battle like this though!! :nonono:

maybe I should stay clear off E90's... Is this across all E90 models - I have not had any of the e46 guys complain about diff's...
