diff ratio

Hi

Is there some one that could tell me what the origanl diff would be for a 1999 E46 318i was it a LSD and what ratio would it be
I would also like to know what the in and outs are when using this diff with a 325i E46 engine,as much info as possible is needed as I am about to test this combonation

Manual 318i should be a 3.38 and an auto would be a 4.44.

Neither are LS diffs.

Personally I would not bother "testing" either of these ratio's on a 325i. Rather stick to the stock 3.15 ratio, unless you are going for a 6 speed manual then the 3.38 should work fine, if it fits that is.

I am also pretty sure the 4 cyl and 6 cyl diffs on the e46 aren't interchangeable.

Howzit Legacy. Pls can u give me a more detailed breakdown to sticking to the 5 speed manual box? How will it affect the revs etc? Thanks for the info so far. Been very helpful.
