Diff,coolant and P/S fluid change

looking to change the Diff, Coolant and Power steering oil.
any one you can recommend having it done or could I DIY?

What about gearbox oil and brake fluid while you at it? would be a few hundred more but all new fluids

I suggest DIY , loads of them online... google and check..

Ive seen quite a few videos on the DIFF and Powersteering DIY. The coolant change looks a bit more complicated tho, as one has to drain the coolant from some plug/pipe located at the bottom, behind bumpers and it seems like quite a mission.

Here is a good vid on the Powersteering:

Note the difference between ATF and CHF11 fluid, and which you should use. Also, you dont need that electronic pump to remove the old fluid, Ive also seen video's where people do it with turkey basters or just a plain old syringe.

I phoned BMW yesterday and they sell "SAF-X0" @ R585 for a litre. For my E90 I need about 850ml according to them. I think the R585 is a little excessive, from my research one can probably purchase the same oil elsewhere for about R150. Also need to figure out what type of hand pump I will use to drain?

Heads up, if you don't want to pay R320 per litre for this stuff...

You can buy the cheaper (still synthetic) stuff at Goldwagen for R185. Online ratings for the Febi Bilsein is not bad.

my power steering cap shows ATF and not hydraulic oil.
I will have to look for something suitable.
