If it means you'll stop posting your L/100km figures everywhere

Yeah, don't you hate all these diesel guys who constantly brag about their consumption. I mean mine is only 9l/100km with mostly city driving.

But yes, it gets annoying when the diesel okes keeping forcing their consumption figures on you. Luckily I get around 6l/100km on the highway.

BMW Turbo diesel's are becoming very common world wide... :joy:

There's some knowledge of diesel turbo issues, fixes, mods, tuning on this forum...

But no specific section where a fanatic can go to share or gain knowledge...
Lots of ppl r considering buying diesels and seek advise.. but we find posts all over the forum... :fencelook:

Turbo Diesel section for all models...:thumbs:

Your car was parked, think you were in the shops, I parked two or three cars away from you.

In theory, a diesel section is a good idea, but the forum is already segmented according to models (i.e. 3 series, 5 series, etc). Hence if you have a diesel section, then you still have diesel models in all these sub-forums.

I think the existing categories work fine. If we were starting from scratch, then yes, we could debate a petrol (I6, turbo, etc) and diesel (4cyl, 6cyl, single turbo, dual turbo, etc) structure. But for now, I would say let's leave it as it.

I think the better option would be to ask guys to put in better subject descriptions. For example, don't say "Engine issues", but rather "Diesel: Engine issues".
