BP Sunnyrock (Northreef rd. cnr. Edenvale Rd.): DSL 500: R11.49; DSL 50: N/A
BP Edenvale North (opp. Greenstone Mall): DSL 500: R11.81; DSL 50: R11.96
BP Bedfordview (Van Buuren Rd. cnr. Kings Rd.): DSL 500: R11.81; DSL 50: R11.96
BP Northrand Rd. (Atlas Rd O/R, Boksburg): DSL 500: R11.81; DSL 50: R11.96

Filled up on Monday 16 April 2012 at Engen in Bryanston (opposite a caltex) and 50ppm was going for R11.79. This Engen only sold 50ppm diesel.

On the way home, it looks like this price was the same at another Engen fuelling station but this time it was the one on Rivonia road (opposite a BP). I only saw the price advertised on their board so there is the off chance that is the price for 500ppm, but I doubt it.

10.99 is a good price. I paid for 50 ppm at the Engen Garage in Centurion Well over the 12 rand a Litre

Interesting thread...

I fill up usually at the Mintys Sasol on Jan Smuts or Edenvale. Its the cheapest i have seen in JHB. I havent yet filled up since the night before the Increase and they where R10.89 (IIRC) for 50pm.

I will fill up this weekend and update.

I went with a friend to fill up his Bakkie on Monday, we went to 3 Filling stations within 1km of each other. 2 being a Caltex and the other a Total. Caltex 1 - R11:87
Caltex 2 - R11:81
Total - R11:91

Update:

Sasol Meyersdal R11.80 per liter (50ppm)
Caltex Heriotdale R11.55 per liter (50ppm)


Crazy 3 garages and R0.56 difference so far for 50ppm.:argh:

R32.13 per tank. Not much if you driving little but doing 3000km per month then it starts to add up. All garages on my route so just a case of stopping at one and not the other.:thumbs:

Ahh, ok! Yeah, thats the same Ener-Gi im talking about. There's also one on Louis Botha near Norwood. Look like dodgy garages, but i have seen lots of guy filling up.
