Did anyone know about the new M3 getting a facelift?

What exactly is different in the facelift version... All I can see that's different is the rear lights which only makes it look more like a standard 3 series from behind. Good thing it still has the M3 badge otherwise only someone with a trained eye will know.

Oh yea... I forgot. Just another indication of how little I'm actually interested in the newer BMW models. They're to heavy, the styling makes them look to serious, the average person needs to take a mechanics course to understand what happens when you press the M button, and you need an IT degree understand the rest of the car.

Other than that they're nice cars... but only nice.

Anyway... They should have them lights on and nothing else IMO.

Don't like it, the M3 is becoming more luxurious, when it's supposed to be built like a beast, now it's getting, to that royalty stage...

i dont understand some of the replies here..

The only difference on this so called facelift is the tail lights.
The front is completely unchanged from the "pre facelift" m3 sedan.
So how can u say the front looks better or worse now?

Anyway, coupe > sedan, anyday.
The lines are just much "cleaner".

my friend got an S5 a while back, and that was pretty much the best looking new car IMO. then I saw it next to a 335i coupe, and my mind was immediately changed. mind you I am biased to all things bimmer

I just happened to pop into the local stealer's showroom yesterday, to pick up part of my "Tupperware" delivery and noticed the salesman pulling a "new" M3 onto the floor. I checed it out and asked him if he knew that there was a facelift model out already. He said that was a long way off and has not been launched yet! WTF! Is the guy in the US BShitting or what?:bs: Either the salesman is un-informed, or our friend on the other forum found pictures on line and placed them, as "his new car" to make everyone jealous! :mmm:

I'm still not 100% convinced! Why would BMW revert back to the old style rear lights on the facelifted M3? The rears on the current one are drastically different from the "supposed" facelift model, that guy's taking delivery of!?:bs:

Its only the sedan M3 that has had a face lifter rear

you're right.. People are confusing coupe and sedan.
Coupe will only see a change 2010, although i cant see them changing anythng besides changing to led lights.
Not much they can change on it.
