I have noticed that the european and uk models have their speed dials in mph and km''s,i am looking to fit this in my car,the one that came on my car is just km's,i was wondering where i can purchase a set here in south africa as i dont trust ebay,pls assist,:ty:

hi,thanx for the reply but i was intending to jus replace the markings on the speedo cluster(gauge) as for the pitfalls i got no idea what the short falls are and i got no idea as on how to do it:bangdesk:

if you don't know how to do it then the best advice is: DON'T

MPH speedos are in use in UK and the US markets NOT Europe!

You can trust ebay if you open a PayPal account as PayPal is part of ebay and they refund if something goes wrong. Refunding can be a schlepp but so far I always got my money back even when goods disappeared in local postal maze

Its not worth the trouble of changing/swopping out the dials. :nonono:

You can change out the display board to a white or the newer dark black ones that you see on the new M5 etc...

But the question still is; why the trouble?

If you really want to do this Ebay is the best place with paypal buyer protection you really dont have to worry about losing your money...

you can change e39/e46 clusters to show range in MILES and MPG..

cant remember exact, but its done thru the cluster.

the actual dials will have to be done differently though..

I drove a honda civic with aftermarket white dials which had both MPH & KPH.... it was every annoying to say the least :yuck:
