Diagnotic Scanner Cable

Hi guys,

I got given a 16-pin to USB diagnostic scanner cable for BMW from a friend. How does one actually use this cable... do I need special software that I need to buy or download onto my laptop so that I can make use of the cable?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes you can download Rheingold (ISTA) or INPA. Both good programs for BMW.
