Sorry P1000.... for R500 anybody can cut and weld!

[irony on]
Can have that done at the local settlement for R100 :=):

What about the ECU and the freaking warning lights?

Whats with the attitude? Sure, you will have to get the ECU programmed to disable the EBP test. LZ can probably do this for very little money. Besides, if it is a 2003 or earlier model, that would not even be necessary. Just trying to help out the guys like jacques24, the disco most likely does not even have the pressure sensors...

Thanks P1000, you hit the nail on the head, thanks for the advice!

Twins, my goal is to protect the turbo on over heating and eliminate any problems with the Disco. I know there is one or 2 members here with a Disco, and believe me, once out of M/P, the :argh: is endless. As I mentioned, I have blanked off the EGR's and now the next step will be de-cat. Taking out what I don't need

Excuse me????

YOU as a yello man should not guess or post probable thoughts of yours... just facts!
Your post was clearly misleading and its sad that your follower Mr Jaques24 doesn't realize that but rather fall for your post and even thank you for it.

Its absolutely clear that the job is not done for R500.... thats what I said, just with a grain of salt and irony which -as sad as it is- you didn't get!

My appologies!

This is just up my street as well. I have a 4,4 X5 and want to decat that as well. (I've already done the 325) And likewise would love to know,
1) Who in CPT can do the job properly? and
2) Are there any problems afterwards like engine warnings etc, that have to be attended to.?

Sorry if I'm breaking rules by butting in here.

i had my S2000 decatted at Pro-Fit in Paarden Island. it was also n/a and it made a huuuuge difference.

they have great workmanship there and know what they're doing. i recall some dudes that did theirs at other places and they had engine warning issues so i guess the lamda sensors are worked correctly u wont have an issue.

Impressive.

Should certainly add a bit extra to the car, so you reckon a decat without adjusting the mapping would be slightly pointless or is there a benefit of the decat without mapping to be had?

It causes the turbo to spool up faster. I dont need to say more......

I have managed to get to the specialists who has done this on the D3. No sensors, no ECU issues, fairly simple job.

Thanks all for the advice
