You need to get the car scanned with a proper diagnostic like Insta-d, the fault codes will be stored on the cars memory...

Without getting the car scanned it's like shooting in the dark...

It could be boost, fuel or timing related, seems like it's coming on only when the engine is under max load...

Taking the vehicle to dealership in whk quickly tomorrow . COULD be as eay as the resetting of everything after vehicle was finished . Ie steering rack and battery reconnecting. Luckily the decat cannot influence overspooling etc by bmw and aftermarket specialists and affect engine. The vehicle makes 240kw and 635nmt the whole time and nailing it repeatedly through the gears does not bring forth the error , only after 200........

Nope definitely won't be as easy as resetting something given the pattern of occurance

Take pic of error codes and post it here tomorrow.

Happens in comfort and sport mode. Any gear between 6th and 8th. Will post bmw error codes. Own vehicle logs no errors in engine service and error codes :skit:

Once the car comes out of limp mode the error will disappear from the obc, that's normal

Yeah the boost target was too high at that point, the deviation was triggering the error.

Errors as per bmw. All after decat and map to delete cat

Drive from swakop ro whk the car had normal power ( before cat delete --- except a nice growl at low speeds when floored) only when toppoing out speed warning came on ..... in either comfort and sport modes.

Egr error - did your tuner not write out the egr on the file?

Rail pressure too low on start - won't cause limp at high speed

Charging pressure too high - the car is over boosting, mean it's exceeding the requested boost - in your case it seems like the actuator on the turbo is the culprit - this is definitely the cause of the limp mode

Actuator fault - actuator is shot, from what I've heard you need to buy a new turbo as the actuator is not sold separately, I could be wrong though...

DDE error - your tuner could have messed with something on the ecu

Tuned2race.

Send them all erroe codes and will get remap done over the weekend. 1st vehicle and 3dr map over 40000 kilo where i got a problem. Luckily they know where the decat and boost is a issue. Will give feedback during the week.
Nice options was to change map page in obc to show new max kw and nmt settings.

as well, seems you got a sweet ride, and you actually USE the power. Thats what I like to see. My folks are actually in 'nam. trying to convince my pops to get rid of his amarok and get back into a BMW again.

Maf suspected at this moment. Readings of below 250 given through gears untill error at 269.6 at high speeds. No error beneath this through low gears while nailing it. Hope this make sense. Will check on dyno at dealers in cape town in two days time. Will also look if replacement pipe in place of cat box is a solution.

Vehicle was at paarl dealership for a a day anf 5 maps later. Apparently a difference in actual and real boost from turbo. Did not have a chance to test in real time conritions. Will try and do it today but cape traffic not playing nicly. Did not do it once but only exeeded 200 a few times at partial throttle so error did not happen.

If stucky fanes in turbo i should use a schock treatment of s20 two stroke oil ? ??

So you have definitely had a variation between actual and requested boost - in your case the car is over boosting which can be dangerous.....

Hope it's resolved now after the new map

After almost a full day and the fifth map vehicle is good again. Tested if hard back to home and even an 20 kilo stretch topspeed run no errors.
