Dealerships and spares - sheesh!

I just lost it on the phone with Auto Helderberg, and then emailed BMW SA

I have over 10 items on order from Germany, for OVER SIX MONTHS now and I get told on the phone for like the 20th time "Blah Blah, Germany etc etc and we will find out and call you back"

They have never phoned me back...ever

I am so frikkin desparate for these parts, I'm standing here with my money in my hand and the dealer just ignores it. I'm not dissing the brand or anything, I just want my parts they said they would get for me.

What the Hell do I do now, nothing I do or say makes any difference whatsoever?

So frikkin unfair to be treated like this....really  it's like driving some unknown brand with no support.

Well they claim they did. Yes I can import but duties etc, cost works out more.

I any case they took my order in good faith, they could at least try sort it.

Rick, I have some good contacts at SMG in Century City. Drop me a PM with the parts you need and I'll see if I can get something sorted.

I've ordered many parts through them and the most I've had to wait was 2 weeks for my poly bushings.

Well, I've been waiting a good month and a half for a sun visor ordered at SMG. According to realoem, there's 2 part numbers: a "cheapie" and a more expensive one. I somehow knew it had to be the more expensive one. They told me no, it's the cheaper one, ordered it, and yes, it was the wrong one. I gave it back to them and I'm still waiting for the right one ordered on 12 June. Sounds like there might be stock issues on the Germany side. *shrug* But yes, other than this, SMG has a good parts division.

So frustrating!! Duties? Agents would have to pay this too surely? So shouldn't cost you any more if you import all this yourself...

Likewise I also have a very good relationship with the PE dealer. If you want me to check up on some parts just pop me a part number.

And as I expected, nobody called me back, will find the DP on Monday and be forced to throw a hissy fit.

The only thing that will make them listen is if you throw a hissy with many F's & B's involved, trust me!! :argh:

Why does one always have to get :argh: before anything happens? One always has to make a scene before anything gets done.:bangdesk:
