Dead fly in 3rd brake light??

Hi guys,

As per topic, I have dead/fossilized house fly stuck in my high level brake light, in the roof lining.
I laughed when I saw it and immediately got mad that my car is 'impure'.
I drive an e90. Is it possible to access the light housing to remove the fly and give it a proper burial?

Thanks.

It is possible. The cover over the brake light clips off,but you have to be relatively careful not to break the clips. However, the light housing is rather more rigid,so you have to be careful. But basically, without tools, you would gently pull the housing down and the fly will either fall out or there will be enough space to get a small vacuum attachment in there.I had the same problem with some insect that decided to make it it's personal graveyard, and managed to get it out that way. Then just clip the cover back on.

Shot, Bugger! Henry the Hoover will be a fitting resting place for the fly. Will try this eve. And tomorrow I'll post questions on how to mend a farked brake light housing...! :roflol:

Hahahaha! Just be gentle and you should be fine. I had the same concerns on my car when I did it,but it's not too difficult, just have a gentle hand. You'll feel the housing is rigid but bendable, to a degree, just don't over do it and all should be good!
