Car went to SMG and it has stayed at SMG, they did tell me it has got the PPK loaded so only two things come to mind

Dyno wrong or PPK is a waste of time.

Rolf on Saturday they used the 221.6Kw and 446Nm on the board for the results if it is worth anything.

Not only a DCT update is neccessary but a full ALL modules update as your car "flies by wire" and that module needs an update too

Problem fixed after update :joy:

Rolf, will this software update work on my n54 Dct also ?

I just think it's stock software but the system says it's PPK
Someone upgraded the software but instead the PPK software, normal OEM software was flashed..... this would be the most rational reason for exact stock power figures

You guys ain't having DCT lag , its turbo lag . I've experienced it to on the 135i.

if it was turbo lag it would do it all the time (same driving condition/behaviour) so I dont think so.

You might be correct but I have been looking at other Dyno graphs of 135i's and if you look you will find most of the guys running 190 to 200kw show a speed of 160-170km and most of the guys showing +220kw are all over 200kmh this means a different gear was used. (this is what I have found but could be wrong)

Now, when you google what gear to use when you DYNO a 135i DCT that becomes another debate all together.

I need to run against a standard 135i DCT to see the difference if any.

The car feels strong and it is quick but how quick is the question.

I get the car back today lets see if they find anything funny and lets see if the lag has gone.

If not its time to consider software and DP

Was the throttle feathered during the run to prevent kick down? If so that might also be a factor.

Dax in that video your car is definitely not slow.

Ya but men will be men and we allways want more, I need to run the car against a standard 135i to see and make my self happy.

Go drive a M3 E92 DCT and feel the difference. Its turbo lag and the gearbox doesn't work well with it at low revs. It happens all the time.

If it was it would happen all the time under the same conditions and it does not.
