Which of these items "have to be replaced"? The thing is, these are most likely mostly common to fail parts when the car becomes older, but replace and they will last for another good couple of years. How much are you going to lose selling the car now and replacing with something similar or newer? And what problems if any will this other car have?

damn dude... the oldest saying in the book "that's why they called stealers".
Try a reputable independent and compare prices.

If I may ask, what are the "few" things that happened.
There are other options.
If you don't have MP, then avoid the stealers

My dad handled everything, this is the invoice of work done. It was his decision to take the car to BMW.

What happened was, I was in the q at KFC, when, with no warning, the car started overheating. It didn't go into the red, but was damn hot. Let the car cool down. Got some water, radiator light comes on, car heats up and then goes back to normal after a few seconds. Went on like this from the wednesday. The O-rings on the water cap was gone. Bought a new cap from BMW> R300 later. Everything was fine for the rest of that day, but then everything started again.

Radiator had a hole
Gasket blown

Initial quote was R24k.

As they went along they found other things busy going wrong, and we (my dad and I) ended up with a R37k bill.

She sounds better than before. And I hope and pray that she will last me another 200 000km

On 225000km chances are things are getting "old" , but all this at once?

So she is fixed and back to health, and I am more in love with her than ever before :inlove:

Mental prices and worthless taking a car with that mileage to a Dealer.

Well lets hope the car gives you many more hassle free miles.
Sometimes the dealer is the only option. In PE the only decent independent BMW I know of retired.
I have been with the dealer ever since, and I feel they give me reasonable rates, and they don't mind if I source parts from elsewhere.

Thanks everyone. I am super happy and my dad too. Now I have a lifetime of debt to pay (luckily interest free)

@Philip: Yes. 2 year warranty on everything they have done.

In the 2 years I'll probably do about 60 000km
