Car is on low mileage and good condition with no dents bumps scrapes or abusive driving.

......and this is what needs to be removed to get to the vanos unit easily.
The whole front.

The engine bay itself looks like it gets regular cleaning. What you are pointing out as being dirty is the area under the radiator cowl.
What you normally see in your Z4 engine bay is the cowl below

Unless you regularly remove that plastic cowl (where the oil can sticker is) to clean I reckon you're bound to find it looking dusty.

Inside looks better than what I expected, I thought it would be a deeper honey colour.
Thanks so far Peter!

Yes it gets washed more than what it gets driven. :fencelook:

That's really good repair Work Peter. I take it it's cost effective as well vs getting new covers (aside from the order delays)

Andy thanks.
Lower engine cover is roughly R2500 with the side covers roughly R1000 each.
Total repair cost was R700 for 2 covers.

The problem will come in the future as my repair guy becomes better known gets more work prices go up repair time is extended and quality suffers.

Untill then I will use him :)

The engine bay is now clean.
The story is that it just had some R23k spent on it to get it on song.
Here are the body pics.

For those who I have not met just some background. I bought the car a year ago and loving every moment with it, my goal is to get it in a great condition while enjoying it. The previous owner hit a curb/speedbump/hadida? at the left front and I asked Peter to repair some of the plastics below after installing a new bumper bracket myself.
Except for a couple of interior clips I replaced the car was in a good condition (and yes I wash it a lot Willy) but I wanted Peter to do the normal stuff plus a couple of service items.

To say the least after Peter having my car for a week I am utterly amazed! :praise:

- Immediately the vehicles starts easier, not sure if he put in some voodoo ignition in or something but it is very noticeable.
- The engine runs so darn quiet, the whole sound through rev range is very distinct.
- Throttle response has been dramatically improved and the engine just feels more willing overall.
- Power delivery is so much smoother and at top end it feels as if it has gained just that extra bit.
- Torque is just wow, low revs and especially midrange above 3500 rpm is drastically better.
- The other work like the plastics and small things Peter picks up has really made it a pleasure in the quest to get the car 100%.

All I can say is thank you very much Peter for your awesome workmanship and professional service, it is a pleasure to have someone so passionate work on my car. :bravo:

PS afterwards me and a friend did some tests with his 997 911 Carrera S gen 1 and the results was very surprising and a big improvement vs previous runs. :fencelook:
