I want take Maria's scooter there, but I'll be a pro by the time I reach the track :roflol:

Wait what?

I thought Cobras were decent around a track? Doesn't supple english chassis + big yank engine + no weight = good track car?

Maybe the originals are, but as with everyone else, he has a replica, with Jag running gear and a 308 Ford mated to a 3 speed auto box.....

Make no mistake, it is a hugely fun machine, from when you turn the key... but on track, this one is not the best...

I know of Backdraft models built for track use which are very fast, but that comes with a price... Philip and I did a lot of work on his Cobra, so it is better now, but no track car..

Well, I think Midvaal late October or early November...

My M Coupe will be getting a fluid service within the next couple of weeks, and will have the OEM wheels fitted for the day.

Careful when you hit the brakes in the 5er, the track might slide forwards :fencelook:

So I have been doing some reading,the e39 is actually lighter than the e34!

Apparently it uses a lot of aluminium everywhere.

At the same time, it is 40% stiffer! Some say the e39 chassis is so good, strut braces don't really offer any advantages.
