free height of the spring has little to do with the height once loaded because spring rate also comes into play... once the new rubbers wear in it will lower a little im sure you noticed the groves in your old rubbers left by the springs

I am just taking the mickey out of you Sean. :hammerhead:

I did notice the the press indentations, used them as guide to realign the new parts.

Are those numbers correct Dewald? Correct me if I am wrong:

That works out to 90kw... With your car you should be seeing, +-150hp/112kw?

I don't read much in to the figures, when I had the car on the dyno at F&R it made 145whp(106wkw or something) and 188wNM. So who knows :hammerhead:

The curve looks good, still makes power all the way to the redline same as before and the torque is similar to what i was before.

I can tell you that after I installed the new suspension bits it does pull noticeably stronger, probability able to put the power down properly.

I neglected to remember that you are at higher altitude so your car will suffer being Naturally Aspirated. The butt dyno is most important after all

For sure the butt dyno says the car is proper fun to drive now.

Next up sway bar bushes and then short shifter

The was car pulling left then right and had a bit of a shudder. So I took it to have the alignment checked. Told the guy that the previous alignment guy said there is an issue with my car, that is the reason why my left front had a lot of negative camber. So he set out to do alignment. He agreed however he said since I have lowered the front, the shock top must be moved in the locating slots more outward to give me the right camber. This is done by removing the locating nipple on the shock mount.

Long story short, I had the nipple removed and the camber came right, then I had to have the wheels re-balanced as the car was shuddering at highway speeds and under braking.

End result the car handles and drives wonderfully now that everything has settled and is aligned up properly.

Here is another pic from the otherday.

Next up(hopefully this weekend) I will change over the tappet cover from the stripped out 330i. Depending on what Spiro decides, we might do a free air sub setup. I need the boat space . And then I bought some touch up paint from BMW. I want to cleanup to few small areas on the car which has chips. And I will be disassembling the headlights to give them a proper clean and try reassemble them neater. Maybe paint the Xenon shroud black. That's the plan for the weekend will see how much I get done.

Some updates, I have not gotten around some of the other stuff I still want to fix/clean. I have however found a very cool tool box in which I can store all my in car goodies liek the emergency kit for humans and emergency kit for the car:rollsmile: The only thing that does not fit in the box is the workshop manual.

WP_20151006_030.jpg

While shopping for the toolbox I found a 12V socket kit, bought that. Installed it Saturday nothing worked and then I thought I had cocked it up cause my gps charger was not working. Long story short GPS charger fuse is bust will geta new one today. Installed the extra socket and now I have dedicated GPS socket hidden in the drivers glove compartment.
